Stadium Road Chapel is being built to serve Alice and the surrounding communities of South Texas. Here is how we intend to show up.
How We Intend to Serve
The chapel is still being built, so these are intentions, not promises. But they reflect what we believe a chapel on Stadium Road should be for this community.
A Gathering Place
The chapel will be a space for worship, prayer, and community gatherings. Non-denominational and open to everyone, regardless of background or belief.
Life Ceremonies
Weddings, quinceanera blessings, and memorial services. The moments that matter most deserve a place that feels right.
Community Support
We intend to be a resource for families in need, working with existing organizations in Alice to support food drives, school supply efforts, and other community needs as they come up.
Youth and Families
Alice is a town that values its young people. We intend to offer programming for youth and families, giving kids one more safe, positive place to go.
Communities We Serve
Stadium Road Chapel is in Alice, but it is not just for Alice. These are the towns and communities across South Texas that the chapel is meant to reach.
Ben Bolt
about 15 minutes northwest of Alice
Ben Bolt is a small community in Jim Wells County with deep ties to the land. The families here have been ranching and farming for generations, and many of them make the drive into Alice for school, work, and church. A chapel on Stadium Road is one more reason to make that trip.
San Diego
about 20 minutes west on Highway 44
San Diego is the county seat of Duval County, just down Highway 44 from Alice. It is a proud town with a rich history and strong family roots. People in San Diego and Alice have always been connected by the road between them, and Stadium Road Chapel is meant to serve both communities.
Orange Grove
about 20 minutes northeast on Highway 359
Orange Grove sits in Jim Wells County northeast of Alice, along Highway 359. It is a tight-knit community where ranching and agriculture still drive the local economy. Families from Orange Grove regularly come into Alice, and the chapel will be a welcoming stop on a road they already know.
Premont
about 20 minutes south on US 281
Premont is a small town in Jim Wells County, south of Alice on US 281. It is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone, and the community looks out for its own. The drive to Alice is short, and a new chapel on Stadium Road adds one more connection between these two towns.
Sandia and Lake City
about 25 minutes east toward Corpus Christi
Sandia and Lake City are small communities in eastern Jim Wells County, closer to the Nueces County line. People here split their time between the direction of Corpus Christi and Alice. Stadium Road Chapel will serve as a local gathering place that does not require a long drive.
Agua Dulce and Banquete
about 30 minutes east on Highway 44
Agua Dulce and Banquete sit along Highway 44 between Alice and Corpus Christi, in Nueces County. These are small, quiet communities where faith and family run deep. The chapel on Stadium Road is intended to reach families in this corridor who want a non-denominational option closer to home.
Freer
about 40 minutes west on Highway 44
Freer is the county seat of Duval County, out in the brush country west of Alice. It is an oil and ranching town where people are used to driving for what they need. Alice is where many Freer families already go for shopping, medical care, and gatherings. Stadium Road Chapel will be there for them too.
Falfurrias
about 35 minutes south on US 281
Falfurrias is the county seat of Brooks County, south of Alice on US 281. It is a town with deep ranching heritage and strong family values. The drive to Alice is one that Falfurrias families know well, and the chapel will serve as one more bridge between these two South Texas communities.
Kingsville
about 30 minutes southeast on US 77
Kingsville is home to Texas A&M University-Kingsville and the legendary King Ranch. It is the largest city in Kleberg County and a hub for students, military families, and ranching operations. Stadium Road Chapel will be a non-denominational option for Kingsville residents who want something different.
Robstown and Driscoll
about 35 minutes northeast
Robstown and Driscoll sit along US 77 in Nueces County, between Alice and Corpus Christi. Robstown is known for its cotton heritage and its annual Cottonfest. These are working communities with strong faith traditions, and Stadium Road Chapel will be within easy reach for families here.
Mathis
about 40 minutes northeast near Lake Corpus Christi
Mathis sits on the shore of Lake Corpus Christi in San Patricio County. It is a town where fishing, ranching, and community events bring people together. The drive to Alice is a familiar one for Mathis families, and the chapel will be one more gathering point in the region.
Corpus Christi
about 45 minutes east on Highway 44
Corpus Christi is the nearest major city, the commercial and cultural center of the Coastal Bend. Many families in Alice have ties to Corpus through work, medical care, and family. Stadium Road Chapel will offer a quieter, more intimate setting for Corpus residents looking for a non-denominational chapel in the South Texas countryside.
