Why Alice Needs This Chapel

Alice, Texas is the kind of place where people still know their neighbors. It is a ranching and oil town in Jim Wells County, the seat of county government, and the hub of South Texas. People here work hard, raise families, and show up for each other.

But like a lot of small towns across Texas, Alice has seen changes. Young people leave for bigger cities. Businesses close. The things that hold a community together can start to thin out.

A chapel on Stadium Road is not going to fix all of that. But it can be one more gathering point, one more place where people come together. Non-denominational means exactly what it sounds like: no denomination, no barriers, everyone welcome. Whether you grew up going to church every Sunday or you have not been in years, there is a seat for you here.

The name comes from the road. Stadium Road is a street that every family in Alice knows. The new Alice Memorial Stadium across the road is where this town comes together on Friday nights. We want the chapel to be that same kind of gathering place, just a quieter one.

The land has been secured, and we are working toward the next steps. Follow along through our News page or sign up for updates on the Contact page.
